I agree to a point. I make a bit more than 2.50 month so I'm okay with it at the moment. Alot of people will leave which will affect market liquidity.

some smart bugger will start thier own site off the back on that announcement if lots of people leave.

You can do the numbers though avgas....on safe stocks...with smart trading...you can regularly make 15% + on your dollar.

Yeah/Nah I have done the safe bets recently so my "cash up" stakes are good enough. But I quite enjoyed the fact I could slam $10 bucks into a longshot bet.
A bit like Haga's guide to racing, go for podium or crash out in glory. I could do the safe money - but where's the fun in that. Give me the 500+% return or nothing

Ironically if someone was to announce they were create a user friendly competitor to ipredict, and was going to float shares in the company. I have $1000 in a account that would buy shares in that company.

I take it (according to your statements on the "other" forum) that your going to stay? Good luck in the shark tank when the prey leave the waters.....

Oh any you would have to make 30.35%+ if you have less than $100 btw. If your gain is 15% your going backwards under the new fee structure.

Mabey I (farrst @ ipredict) will come back. But with a new born son, a POS motorbike and lack in being motivated in "vote stock" on ipredict. The $1K+ I should be investing on there will have to sit in bank account giving me a crappy 4% for now.

thats a fair comment...I expect the market maker to change too 100 from 10....and that will help profitability no end on informed predictions...but the base will dwindle and the site will loose. no doubt....and as you say...if someone takes up the slack as a competitor...they will gain....especially if they follow a trademe model!

    Anyone still playing this game?

It's a fairly deep dredge but it made my election night worthwhile. Guess it would've been worth more a week ago...

    Yep - I am.

I have pulled all my real money out and just playing with my funny money (prior profits).

Just checked today - and yes Election was a gain for me also. Time to load it all up again if I can do it again.
