You can't stop parents forcing kids to do stuff. It is part of being a parent and yes sometimes parents get it wrong. But at least in sport they are still kids, look like kids, play like kids with other kids however forcing a 9 year old girl to act and look like a sexually mature woman and displaying her like a trophy is wrong.

Forcing children to go into an environment where they will be kicked and punched, often by people measurably larger than themselves, is wrong. Childrens rugby is disgusting.

I think a study into what becomes of child beauty pageant stars would be severely limited by a lack of contact details for crack whores...

Easy for rugby players though... you could get the other side of the argument from Womens Refuge.

I have no problem with child pagents, providing at least one parent accompanies the child on stage in an identical outfit and doing the same routine...

I read it.. and I have always been against children being put on a stage/pedastool just be on "show"... on a stage acting (cough) at a young age in a group doing a play is ok cause they are learning something... but to look pretty? no.. not something I will go and see.. ban it.

Although I don't think they should be allowed to be plastered in makeup, as long as the kids wanna do it then fine. If they don't, that's another story... and that goes for anything... even being forced to run cross country at school, good for me or not, I fuckin detested that, but it was better than detention and in it was in my best interests apparantly .
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Or rugby, soccer etc etc. Parents that take their kids sport too seriously should be banned.
