You want to see proper stiffy inducing 'spannies', go have a proper look at the Honda NS500 twin.

how come... is it not the NSR500 engine?
I always liked the idea of the BB1 Bimoto keep the heavy fuel COG low and big empty light things high.

Unfortunately the underslung fuel tank made for interesting maneuvering when fully fueled, ie; like a pendulum effect only it was as slow as a four stroke to flick over. The full tank below and pipes above took weight too far away from the ideal that mass centralising is about...also as Crasher mentioned the mechanics hated working on it.

interesting cos I'v raced and spent a bit of road time on the BB1 and that bike was a mint handler, never noticed any diferance if the tank was empty or full. (BB1 pipe was central and under seat, air box and storage in tank)

That is a puzzler...you should of told Freddie in 84,he could of used it instead of going back to the V3.

There comes a point you have too much weight low, and you don't get the right amount of pitch, and it's also harder to tip from side to side. Think 'Tommy Tippy'!

So... Freddie dident get to ride the V4 till 85? I'm asuming the under tank NS was inbetween the triple and the 85 V4?

Makes sence... the BB1's tank was small and plastic.

No and yes. Freddie decided (against Honda)to ride the triple at some 84 rounds and even went as far as having the V3 ready for practise at following rounds because of the handling of the upsidedowner. He could'nt stay with Eddie on high speed tracks.

First time I have seen pics of the Kawasaki 250GP bike. That was the one Slight tested back in the day. Did Simon C have a test on it too? Can't remember.
Shame it didn't work out as it would have been cool to see Slight get into GPs, irrespective of his faults.

Slighty raced it at Daytona, pretty sure Crafar never got anywhere near it. It was THE most secretive Kawasaki ever.
