    wanna 'carbon fibre' stuff..?

    found this, and thought it looks pretty cool.
    Looks to be a touch pricey, and could be not far off the cost of the real maccoy, but there is always the time when it'd cost too much, or just not be right..

    They've also got a 'sale' on at the mo, doesn't look too expensive, so may be a few peeps could all pile together

    WTF? That doesnt even look anything like real carbon fibre!!!!,If anyone wants the real deal check my profile & PM me as I manufacture REAL carbon fibre bits

    didn't think it looked that bad..
    but thanx for letting me know you can do it!! I have some ideas I'm saving for, but lack of fundage isn't helping at the mo. I'll flick you a PM when I can!!

    As Ive always said: Carbon Fibre/Kevlar has "the wank factor" ie, lighter ,stronger, space age etc etc but fake carbon is just plain wank

    For a while now I've toyed with the idea of trying my hand at carbon fibring...is it something the average backyard DYIer could manage?

    I would quite like to make a hugger for the CBR.

    Yes, hand laying carbon is the same technique as fibreglassing but the materials are a lot dearer & when learning you will make some rather expensive mistakes
