In the market for a 2 piece suit, opinions?

I'll be doing a ton of homework in the next week or two about leather gear, I'm going to buy a two piece suit and want value for my money as everyone (Except Harley owners) does. I'm going to open the bank up to $800, but, I could go to more for a really grouse set.
I've sent Quasi a PM of course as I hear so much great stuff about his gear.
    LEDA is on the list.
Sort of almost considering 1Tonne, I currently have some 1Tonne pants and they are pretty nice, super warm (The fit isn't so brilliant, but, I'm fuckin' skinny)
What others are worth considering? Revit? Moshin (they look cheap.....)
Will pop into the local bike shops too, I think freedom Suzuki had a nice set there for $900 or less.

So who can point me in the right direction?
    Requirements- Pref black, it's prettier.
    Reasonably water proof.
Comfortable to wear, I'll be wearing it most days at uni.
    Warm obviously.
    No arseless chaps.

I've got a two-piece QMoto Race spec suit of leather. I have never crashed so can't say how good it is in those regards... however I wear it every time I go riding so in regards to comfort. Big thumbs up. Warm... not so much, waterproof... not so much. Great in the summer and not too hot at all, good perforations. That of course has the setbacks for winter, so I'm trying to decide what to do now... probably rain overcoat and thermal unders I guess.

Have sno-sealed them a couple times before, still let water in except for light showers so rain over coat definitely necessary if you're planning lots of rainy trips in Qmoto gear.

Can you tell me more on what you think about the RST gear? I've seen it around before, but, haven't heard much about it.

I'd rather go for a matching suit at this stage, otherwise I'd keep what I have

There will be lots of rainy trips sadly as I ride every day and everywhere.
Do you think the Qstreet gear will be better?

That's a good point that I didn't mention re the RSTs, it's a brilliant perforated jacket for summer but I'd never use it in winter, I have teknic cordura that's warm as toast for the cold and the wet.

I've been told it's cut from the same pattern as Rev'it - who knows how much truth there is to that or whether it even matters, I find it comfortable and as I said above, the perforated jacket is great when it's a hot day, it does come with a zip out vest but if it was cold enough that I felt like i needed layers, I'd just use my cordura. Armour in all the usual places including the back, has a full waist zip for jacket/pants. When I bought it they were only doing the black, none of the coloured stuff, which was fine with me.

Dogsnbikes recently got a set of their cordura gear if you want any info on that....

The problem is I can't afford both and am not buying cordura, it's just not my thing, been there and done that. I don't see what it offers over a decent set of leather, infact the first set of leather I had and stupidly sold in '08 were water proof as hell, rode to Taupo in the wet no worries, yet I would get wet in my DriRider gear that was brand new.

Fair enough. I don't think the RST razor set will suit you then, the jacket is perforated so there's just no way it would be as warm or as waterproof as a decent set of cordura

My leather definitely doesn't let in any water, it's where holes are the problem arises . So if you're looking for allround comfy leathers for summer and winter aren't you dreaming? Super hot summers and dry winters, or nice breezy summers and wet winters.

Pretty much I'm probably going to end up buying a set of gear for winter and a have my current set for summer eventually. For now as I can't afford to buy winter gear I'll just have my bike deregistered June till Sept and get over that bridge another year.

I've had waterproof leather before, I'm not too worried about getting a bit warm though, I'm used to it My 1Tonne pants are waterproof as hell, my repsol jacket is......shit. Both get a bit warm, but I'm happy with that compromise if they keep me dry.

I found my DriRider gear wasn't that great in the cold of wet, my last leather jacket was superb, I don't remember who made the damn thing though

    Thumbs up Found a suit!

I got a PM from Quasi this morning, he has a black rocks suit in my size and at a rice that made me choke on my cup of tea with the possibility of free gloves

Sadly I have to wait 'till next week, but, I'm looking forward to it and will do the review/pictures thing when they arrive.
