    new kid on the block

    Hya all,

Been riding for about 2 months and had my eye on these forums for about twice that. I love the community here, plenty of people giving good advice, no childish ego battles etc. Moved to Hamilton this christmas with family, didn't mind either as Waikato University reputably has the best computer science department in the country. Then decided I finally had enough excuses to buy myself some private transport.

I went with the fxr150 because its the best deal I could find (250s are over priced once you look at the k's). I would never have believed you can buy a vehicle in this condition, give it brand new set of pireillis + wof + 1 yr reg for around $2000NZ.

Unfortunately, I got tired of the 150cc engine in a week and have to throw myself into corners to get that thrill again. I'll hold on to it until I have my full licence after I finish my degree and have a job, then get at least a 600cc.

Rode to Raglan and back on saturday, some cool corners in the hills, luckily I made them all.
Max speed of ~134 is a pain in the ass,can go faster but don't want to go over 12,000rpm.

And you've got a warped sense of reality. What you are is a funny bugger with far too much time on his hands and photoshop.

Hmm might have to keep an eye out for your bike when I ride by the Uni then. Only live about a 10 min walk from there.

Have to see about setting up some sort of weekly (or more likely monthly) meet for us Hamilton riders. (Raglan, Te Awamutu, Cambridge, Huntly and anyone close enough included)

See ya on the roads mate.

    thanks everone for replying

@Waylander: Would love to do something like that maybe for 1-2 hours if its weekly, more if its monthly. Allthough you may get a little bored waiting for the 150 to keep up

Lol Mate I've been off my bike for the last 5 months almost so I wont be booking it all that much. If you can keep it at about 100 to 110 then it's all sweet. Have to get myself a steady cashflow before I can try orginizing something though. But feel free to set one up yourself.
