    US camera store?

Anyone know of a US camera store that will ship to NZ? Looking at buying a Contour HD. Amazon ahve them for 199 US but won't ship to NZ. Can't find a bloody store anywhere that will for a similar price.

just ordered 2 contour + today from B&H photo in US. http://www.bhphotovideo.com
    3-5 day shipping
bit more expensive, but a lot more camera
Emailed contour direct and they replied that they are having trouble keeping up with stock demands. No u/water housing available for a few more weeks.
    Good choice of camera btw.

    Ouch, postage is steep!

Anyone want to order one from this place and go halves/thirds/etc on postage?

    Looks groovy.

Trying to decide between a bar mounted cam and helmet cam.

Bar mounted is cool as you get the feel for lean angles and probably better mic recording (hide behind screen to minimise wind noise)

Yeah and helmet cams would be a dead giveaway when I was checking out fit pedestrians

    http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-CONTOUR-HD-1...#ht_645wt_1141

    $199 + $43 shipping (USD)

You could get a GoPro HD Hero (960) for only a few dollars more. Depends on what you are using the camera for though but video quality is similar but sound seems to be much better on the gopro

Actually its cheaper look at this special: http://www.bivouac.co.nz/gopro-helmet-hero-wide-1.html

You could even try the Drift X170 which is cheaper than the two above (well not now that i saw that special on the gopro) has good video and sound

The different shapes the cameras have should also be taken into consideration when buying.

Thanks heaps man, used the ebay link you sent me and very happy to get the Contour HD at Amazon prices.

Yep I agree the GoPro looks pretty cool too, but in the end I went for the Contour because I want something totally unobtrusive I can have on my handlebar full time. Decided the GoPro looked a bit too bulky, I like the Contour's slim profile.

I couldn't find a Contour HD locally for anywhere near as cheap as in the US. For example:
