Who ever has the most points at the end of the season is the best ride/team in that season there is no other way to win the championship, to win you need to be the best by winning the most points in the races available.
    Simple really

That comment was COMPLETELY wrong! The data from the bikes showed that Simon entered the corner at 14kmph SLOWER than all previous laps and Sufoglu at the same speed as all previous laps. Hence control after viewing the data decided that the crash was Simon's fault and no penalty for Sufoglu.

Sofoghead still could have not done that. He was a nut case on the 600 SSP on still rides the same

Thanks for that bit of info Cleve. Watching (from my armchair) my first instinct was just that. Simon, for some reason, had seemed to be slowing dramatically mid corner and Sofoglu was in fact a bit hard done by.
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

I don't see the relevance other than stating the obvious?

I think I upset a few people by suggesting that winning a championship without winning races was a tad hollow. Plastic Trophies. Earned certainly but not particularly memorable. Look,, there's no doubt all these guys are supermen, I simply believe only a few have the krytonite. I apologise for any offence taken.

Cool info and I follow your reasoning, but frankly to blame a guy for slowing a little differently for a corner than on previous laps is absurd.

No I mean I was not commenting on the team, the factory, or the bike, just the rider. His points about finishing and getting the most points etc, are all valid of course.
