Brake line banjo bolt needed, 10mm x 1.25mm pitch.

My new master cylinder is here and I want to have it up and running for the weekend.

But in true piss me off fashion the original banjo bolt is 10x1.0 pitch and i need 10mm x 1.25mm pitch.

Any idea where I can get one?

Other option is to retap it with a M10 x 1.0 tap but i would perfer not as its a bit rough... mind you thats my second name...

NO. DO NOT RETAP. There won't be any thread left in the hole and as soon as you squeeze the lever, pop. Assuming it does up at all. If you have access to a drill press and small (2mm) diameter bits, then buy a fine pitch bolt and drill holes.. Just make sure it's clean afterward.

Sweet. Seriously though, I bought some 10x1.25 cap screws for about 30cents each. I'm sure you could get G8.8 bolts in fine pitch for 5/8 of fuck all. Save you screw cutting etc. If I drill through a threaded section of a bolt I start with a slot drill. Makes a nice flat spot to start your drill in.

We have a few spares, you can have one if you can pick it up from the Ellerslie/Penrose area. I have sent a PM with our address.

For anyone wanting brake line, banjos or other brake bits, try GSS (formaly Greenlane Speed Shop) its where we get all our brake stuff.

or just go to the local brake shop with the MC in your hand. Or a wrecker.

    Tap an already threaded hole?
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Enough thread tape and it should be fine, it's only for his front brake after all, what could possibly go wrong?
