XR600 electrics - loom, stator, reg...

    Hi all,

I've been banging my head against a brick wall trying to get the gb400 and xr600 electrics to marry up. so common sense is telling me to use the xr600 loom and all and make it work.

    So i am after:
    XR600R loom - (B)model
    XR600R stator - (B)model
Reg/Rec to fit the above - i think most will do.

if you are parting out an XR600, or have any of the above bits, send me a PM.

    Nik
End of passion play, crumbling away
    I'm your score of self-destruction
Veins that pump with fear, sucking darkest clear
    Leading on your deaths construction
    Taste me you will see
    More is all you need
    You're dedicated to
    How I'm killing you

    Ricky Stator

I've had endless problems with stators and regulators burning out on my XR600. I just received a heavy duty stator from Ricky Stator
    http://www.rickystator.com/catalog/a...keywords=XR600

It was $180 US with postage to NZ, with 2 gaskets (these are hard to get separately otherwise). This is supposed to be The Answer to the XR600 weak spot, and it certainly looks the business. I have a Thumper Racing 660 kit so the engine is running hotter, and I'm told an XR400 oil cooler might help, as heat is also a factor in this (previous windings have melted). Hope this is of help, Rob
