What are your reasons for thinking this? Any evidence?
multiple. the local cop drinks with them. its a small community, and everybody there has seen it. Ive seen said cop drink with them then drive home. the guy has lost his WOF issuing rights due to having been proven to issue WOFs to vehicles he knew damn right were dangerous and ilegal MORE THAN ONCE.
Youre from dunnaz right? Youve probably heard of these people!

You roll it down the road with the engine off?

Given that you freely admit to regularly riding at more than twice the limit on your short commute to work I'm surprised to hear you say that you don't give it plenty for the 100m or so near your house as well. Why would she have a problem with you if it wasn't for the reasons she's described?

Not saying be a pussy and roll over....just saying, dont start a fight you cannot win...unless you have something really important to gain. And even then....think twice.

I worry that my latest toy is a bit on the loud side too but I nana it down my road, gotta let the engine, box and clutch warm up. I don't take it over 3000rpm on our road, especially at night. I like my quiet neighbors and I assume they appreciate me not being a knob too.

As for these silly people, they're silly. If you were thrashing it in town, you're a cock. If not, that woman is a stupid bint. Either way.... If I remember right you have a V4? They should appreciate the glorious noises they can make.

Experiment with another angle - agree with everything she says. Just keep agreeing and saying you'll tell the others etc yadda yadda

Most people cannot cope with agreement. They expect confrontation, an argument. So when you come across as a pleasant easygoing person, they don't know what else to do. And they don't keep complaining either...

I did exactly that after a similar episode with a neighbour a few years ago, then about a week later I advertised a garage sale at their house for the following sunday with a start time of 7am. First trader turned up at 6:30am looking for an early deal. It didn't solve the problem but it did give me a giggle when another neighbour tore her a new one for all the noise and not to mention the cars coming and going all day. Childish I know but very satisfying

    Neighbours are such fun

    The good points are that
1/ they are complaining to you, sounds to say that is good but the alternative is they could go direct to the council with noise complaints and such like. If they go direct to council the council will not tell you who the complainant is, probably in case you seek revenge (as if ), but does make a complaint harder to defend and removed your 'right' to face your accuser.
2/ you know who the Mayor and Mayoress of your neighbourhood are. Every neighbour has at least one person who thinks it is their right to control or know everything that goes on around them. The Mayoress in our street has just had her brick letter box bowled for at least the 3rd time in 5 years. I'm sure they are all accidents like reversing moving trucks but funny how its only their letter box that gets whacked. (karma?)

So about 20 mins ago one of my neighbours called my home and accused me and 2 of my friends of speeding up my street, faster than the speed limit (50km) which wasnt at all true, the fact of the matter is you only have about 50m to travel from the intersection (which 9/10 you have to stop at) then up the hill to my house.. anyway, after a good 10min argument, she tried to tell me she was worried about the school kids and the children that play up the street and how would I feel if one of my friends or myself had hit one,
Which I replied, anybody could hit one of those kids bike or car it doesnt matter if they were doing 50km or 30km, it only takes one person to change their radio or turn to look at something or someone and it could happen, anyway she insisted that bikes were to blame and we were a danger to the neighbourhood and the communinity and she was a concerned neighbour,
Now, just to make this clear, her and her husband and many of their friends are known drink drivers, he owns and runs the local garage and he does all his WOF's dodgy as shit and half cut, then he drives home or does the wofs drunk, so I brought this up to her saying that what If one of the drink drivers in the neighbourhood were to hit a child becouse they were too pissed to react, anyways this started another 10 min DM rant and she still ignored it saying that we were dangerous,

So I have printed off the NZTA drugs and alcohol limits page off their site that outline the max about of limits for drinking and driving and the penalties etc etc, and I have decided to handle this manor by making a point, one I believe to be a fair one.
I have put it in an envelope saying "From a concerned Neighbour" wither they know it was me or not I dont really care, Just wondering if anyone has ever had this kind of situation?.
(The local cop knows about their drink driving and hes just as bad as them thought I would point that out before someone said "why dont you call the police")
See the problem is that people like you don't look scarey enough ... Black leathers 'n'll and cuts make a difference ... no-one tries to tell you shit like this .. 'cause you look like you might firebomb their house ...

Enough of the wimpy anonymous paper shit .. confront her with a baseball bat in your hands ..

Lmao, I like the way you think, this is my standard approach with people who cut me off, (on purpose that is) and pull the finger to me,

Iv decided to just let it settle for now and ignore it, roared past their garage just before at 40km with half clutch so to get the maximum RPM and noise but without the speed. (probably not good for my clutch, but its all good it needs new plates anyway)
I might wait a week, then drop it into their letter box, should be enough time for them to forget what happend and will be good for laughs.
This is my main reason for hating small neighbourhoods with people who think they know everything, Like I agree with her concerns as there are some dopey ass kids in this neighbourhood who have their little skateboards and think becouse im on a bike im going to stop when they walk out infront of me (ever been kicked in the knee at 30km? .. One teenage kid has.. ) but its when its a little excessive and wild accusations just cause fire.
Thanks for everyones input some good laughs in there, I expected a few more Trolls to be honest but just the usual effort by Ender EnZed and a mild attempt by Katman.
