    1. there was no job sheet
    2. Chris had set the price of $50
    3. The woman in question made it quite clear that others I had been dealing with were just employees and that she sets the prices.
    4. Obviously I should have supplied a verbatim account for the kiwibiker have a says.

For those who want to pay $50 for a tyre change see Chris at Haldanes, and if you want to bitch about it then watch out for his mate Crasherfromwayback. Nice hijack by the way.

Although the lady in question was obviously out of line, the OP's reaction to take in National over one fuck up over many years of happy service, certain shows their lack of brain cells.
The financial damage a pathetic thread like this can cause isn't always minimal.

I'm conceited, you're a cock. And why is commenting on your bitch thread considered a hijack? Think you need to get over yourself.

Gee Kelly, I think you might be on this ice with this one. Haldanes have been around forever and are pretty much 100% respected. I wasn't in the shop at the time of your problem so I can't comment on what happened but to take it straight to this forum is IMO a bit sharp and won't do you any good at all.

Bloody hell, the shop has been looking after you since the eighties and giving you good discounts, and they get it wrong once and you go postal on here??

Why can't you wait till next week and go and talk to someone else about it instead of being a jumped up keyboard warrior.
Surely after all the help and not to mention the money they have saved you, you owe them that at least.
Personally if it was my shop I wouldn't move an inch to help you now.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

I can't help but think that Saturday mornings must be a bitch of a time for bike workshops - everyone wanting their stuff NOW!! I'd probably price that job to a similar level on a Saturday am.

    Cut them some slack dude.

Pretty sure the owner deserves a phone call before this goes any further. Our bike shops need all our support these days. Good staff are essential though. Hopefully it was a misunderstanding or she just found out her cat had died.

And if they didn't, you'd be here moaning that they didn't pick up your bike had fucked wheel brgs, and it could've killed you not replacing them. Hard to win sometimes. Yes they should've called you and asked you if you wanted them replaced.

You couldn't (and probably wouldn't want to anyway) handle my bike(s)!

Ps: Good man. Too much of that shit going on for no real good reason.

If you had your sales docket, any decent shop would've taken them back for a full refund upon hearing your story!
