    Engine paint

The silver paint on my RMX250 engine has mostly fallen off with age. It's 20 years old. I am going to remove the rest of it - I will probably leave it like that but was wondering if there is some kind of paint I could use that would be good for the alloy on the engine. Boat engine paint maybe? I have striped and painted a few outboards and have done a pretty good job. But on a bike engine? What do you think?

PJ1 do some great engine enamel. Not sure what types they still bring into NZ. Obviously cleaning the base up to bite into is the key.

Don't need to stripe them - or even strip them.

Water-blast it carefully, wash it down with de-greaser (or even better, Prepsol) then bruch paint it with silver engien enamel.
