    Db1k 2012

OK we've gotta start planning ahead. Ryan when are we doing this & can we please do it again down south?
I'd really like to see some bits I missed on the 2nd day.

I'm still lamenting north vs south. Got a couple of easy changes (I know they are goers) to the southern to spice it up a little. Also got a couple of ideas for the old northern route but no idea if they are ridable or will float with landowners.

I'm thinking that late Jan (21/22th or 28/29th) as later Jan seemed to work better for most in 2011.

Keep the comments coming. This is your guys ride so let me know what you want - and I'll decide if I like it

I'm good with either weekend and my vote is for the south Happy to assist with any preparation/planning needed from down Alex way if you go for a south route.

Yeah - isn't it in Russia now? Any updates on progress, RR or blog?

Having been on one Db1k (last one) I reckon you'd be hard pressed to improve the Southern Loop - it was O for Oarsum

Ok, since we're kind of voting I think I would tend to vote South again too.

It was so epic last time with so many people not getting back to Fairlie until after the Pubs and Fuel Stations had closed... or was that just because of the submerged KLRs and other more social time consuming things happening?

If you're doing the south, I'm coming down... I should almost have enough time to scrape the neccessary brownie points together.

Absolutely loved the 2011 route, the country is spectacular down there, had a blast through the Awakino section and Saint Bathans West Branch, keen for anywhere but the south has my vote of preference

Yep probably about time. You had better take some decient pics of the new steed in a couple of weeks then I'll have a look and see if I have any good scenery pics. I must have one or two on file by now.

I've not heard any more from the guy. Should send him an email.

Just ordered the big bertha tank (25 liters) for the exc so no worries for gas this year. Headlight however might slow things down a little.
