Percolators are a sin against coffee - any coffee nut will tell you "no more than 80-odd degrees or you scald/burn the coffee and how do percolators work? Cascading boiling water over the beans which mixes coffe into the water which is in turn boiled and cascaded over what's left of the beans. Perpetrate this atrocity for five mins until Amnesty International kicks down your door for undue cruelty and voila! The foulest crap since Bushells Instant Coffee (which they get by sweeping the floor at the Greggs factory)
