    Twin cylinder 2-strokes?

Just wondering......would a 125 air cooled Twin cyl 2 stroke be any good as a bucket?
Ive seen lots of great single cylinders, but havent seen any twins

Are these motors bucketable? Im guessing they get some good HP, but not as tractable as a big single, ie less practical on a go-kart track?

I can't speak for the RD as honestly I am not familiar with it's specs, but there is a few gt 125's floating around put there. Biggest problem wither though is that there twin carb set up results in a violation of the 24mm carb restriction

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

ahhhm yep. thank you - had never really paid too much attention to that part of the book.....my 100cc is exempt lol.

Engines must be derived from non-competition motorcycles. Motocross, Road Racing,
Enduro and Go Kart motors and transmission parts are not permitted. There shall be no
restriction on the make, type or design of carburettor, ignition, exhaust, piston, cam, valve
springs or cooling system except for class eligibility. All engines must be normally
aspirated except F4 4 stroke engines of less than 100cc capacity, which may be turbo or
    supercharged.
F4 2 stroke engines over 104cc are restricted to carburation equivalent to a single 24mm
carburettor, F5 4 stroke engines over 53cc are restricted to carburation equivalent to a
    single 20mm carburettor.

I don't think this is an RD (wrong tank shape), so possibly not a RD reed valve engine, so I think it may be a earlier piston porter. I sent him a question that would positivly identify it but he has not replied and he has neg feed back too, so not looking to good.

I like the tape on the side of the cylinder for measuring the engine temperature.

Arrgh don't dare bucket that lovely yam. I'd buy if I had the spares. The Suzuki, yeah why not. don't make a good bucket though.

Hehehe, im hearing you there. The yammy really does look great. Imagine a kiwi saying that int he 70's tho? No way.

Even the GT125 is looking sweet. Classic 70's lines.

Id have liked to get them.....I cannot see them going down in value. And yeah - wouldnt bucket them. Just curious if they were bucketable type engines or not..

weakness is the 5 speed gearbox & size of engine. That said I've seen the odd one on a longish track punt along fairly fast. Craz's above went well I seem to recall.

mine went ok at the time but after buying my dyno it went from 18hp to 30hp but the pistons now fall to bits. need some forged piston but never got around to worrying about it to meany other things to do
