I don't think I'm gonna be there. I went and tested my bucket at Kaitoke yesterday, did 4 laps and found a few problems so I had to go home. Too much to fix in a week but I will try. I will try make it for prize giving at least.

A couple of things. The brakes were rock solid but with no power because of the master cylinder bore being too big for the caliper. So I switched it to the smaller FXR master cylinder and BOOM way more braking power.

Unfortunately the muffler hits the ground too easily so I need to sort out a smaller muffler. Suspension is set up really soft at the moment too which wont be helping.

I think even with the footpeg raisers I have made the footpegs could still potentially hit the ground. The gear shifter isn't very good either. Other than that, I did 1 reasonably quick-ish lap and the bike was considerably more stable in the 2 main areas on the track where I was having trouble with big wobbles.

Just a few teething problems then. Sully or Fish might have a stiffer spring.

    I'll be there.

Have some mods to try that I hope will help me to get my elephant around the track under the magic number.
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.

Yeah definitely just teething problems. It was exciting to ride it though. Not sure how the suspension really is until I have ridden it fast for a few laps and had a bit of a play with it. I have watched a ton of videos and done a lot of reading so I'm keen to go try a few things and see how it goes.

Lookng forward to it, but wondering if the bikes just end up staying in the van Hamish, if your bike isn't ready, bring your gear and take mine out in a practice and if it's all okay for you, you can race that (Henk enjoyed racing you last time, and as he always offers his bike, I have to reciprocate). And yes, I know offering a B/C grade rider is a bit different from an A grade, but I don't give a crpa about my bike and I'm not the mechanic lol Oopss, better go, mechanic just got home.

nOT Only that, but it might get rained off lol
But someone wants a race pie, I think that's all I've heard about.

Got another dorklander coming down (just got told), but no idea how to get hold of him even - he was there on the Sunday at Easter. Good to see another keen person wanting to get the hell outta town whenever he can (wonder why he hasn't come to any of the NI series rounds, but not sure when he started).

Oh, Hamish, the mechanic said then he has to change my bike so I've got stock carb and something else (wheels, dunno), but he didn't tell me off too much lol

Haha make sure he doesn't do too much!! I'm unsure if I can make it as it is. I have far too much exam study to do and on Sunday there is a special study group thing which I think I should go to. Really gutted as I don't normally miss any racing.
