Molybdenum oil and locking agent - what do you use?

I am performing my first ever cam shaft installation.
The bike is a Honda CL 400.

Molybdenum Oil
The Servicing Manual states that I should apply Molybdenum Oil to the Cam Shaft lobes and journal. Googling around tells me that Molybdenum Oil is a 50/50 mix of Molybdenum Grease and normal engine oil. Is this true? Locking Agent
The service manual also advises to apply locking agent to the sprocket bolt threads. The sprocket being the sprocket that attaches to the cam shaft. What locking agent do you recommend for this task, and where can I get some?

No - use 'assembly lube' for installing the cam.

For locking select the right loctite compound (look on the website) but the blue thread locker should do the trick.

Still can't find them anywhere online. Any advice on where to shop for the assembly lube and loctite? Perhaps Bunnings or Mitre 10?

The lube normally is part of any new cam package but any good engine rebuilders will have some - or try Kelford cams.

And any decent engineering supply outfit will have Loctite which is what you need - the corrcect type will be on the label.

supercheap has thread locking stuff. It may just not be Loc tite (brand). Its permatex. see link

Repco or supercheap or other places will have it (BNT)

Their websites dont have all their stuf listed.

I read the title of this thread and had a flashback to doing RC30 rods..

Moly grease under the nuts to avoid galling the Titanium rods and loctite on the threads - and don't mix the two.
