Yeah I was put off the US stuff too, but kind of regret it as their higher tier stuff is quite good.
I'm running a russian heavy (KV-3), German medium (VK3002DB) and a USA Artillery (M41) as well as a couple of lights in the hanger.

Finally installed and had a go. (Name=1mmArmour)
Really really wanted to like it, but mostly not.
There's all this time spent waiting for a game to gather, then the 30 seconds waiting for the game to start, then a bunch of time driving (unless just camping near base) only to be quickly blown up by someone who's faster at aiming and shooting than me *, or who I may not even have seen before they fired at me.
So it's "exciting" for me, very briefly, but mostly tedious and frustrating.
(I'm trying to use the landscape well, learn the good & bad points of the maps, but half the time I just get blown up by someone I've not even seen, or who can fire at me on the move. There's all that research stuff that improves tanks (also tedious), but other people improve theirs too, of course, so that's not going to help me. And I guess some people will use real money to buy in-game gold and get the special ammo and stuff - that's annoying.)
May not uninstall, but don't see myself spending much time on it.
(* it's also why I don't bother with multiplayer on-line versions of games like Medal of Honour. All these young fellows who can run'n'gun just kick my arse. No fun. I get much more enjoyment out of blowing the heads off A.I. bots. I don't care that I can only do it because they are stupid.)
End of whine.
Edit:
Gave it (WOT) a few more goes, went through the process of upgrading some tanks so they "worked better", got some more tactical advice from my Son, had some successes; and then some fails that were just frustrating and annoying. I play games for light entertainment, and this just wasn't fun. Uninstalled.

I found this game from reading this thread last year. Played close to 5000 games now. It gets better the more you play. The new patch with physics will be out soon and it will be a lot better.
Call me a necro.
I enjoy playing World of Tanks. I am mainly working the German and American lines. I love the T32 American tank and am kind of partial to the German Indien-Panzer.
I tried World of Warplanes but could not get into in. I am not a plane sim gamer, but I may be betterr at World of Waeships, which is currently in Alpha
What the hell does that mean?
The SAS are one of the mostr feared special services, partly because they don't do the gungho Seppo bullshit. But they have a dose of kiwi, so have, liek, over 9000 mana.
I rank them over spetsnaz and the ffl.
I think you will be surprised by some of the "keyboard warriors" out there. Hell, one of the guys I used to play Eve Online with is a winner of multiple Olympics medals over multiple games, including a gold.Off topic.
Keyboard warriors will be against the wall, come teh revolution.

Don't read too much into what he says, he's the site fuckwit just trying to get a bite. He's probably just jealous his potato won't run a 3 year old game...
I find the grinding in these sort of games quite tedious, and kinda puts me off picking them up at all. I play Planetside 2 which has air/tank/infantry combat, though the balance is often a bit shitty, it fills the gap. Shitload better than BF4 anyway.
