What Im saying is. Theres some more news worthy issues, and better ways to spend charitable resources, than this.
And yes, I suspect he would be taking the penguin regardless of 'how much' media attention he got from it...he may be surprised he scored This much from it, but Im sure some media attention was planned and expected.

He is one of those rare people who puts his money where his mouth is.

The expedition is quite some time away, as expected, since it is Antarctic winter there atm, this = no daylight and massive amounts of ice.

Better off to pop it back in the harbour.
When I pass penguins in Auckland harbour (during summer) I leave them to find their own way home. They are not as stupid as some humans (labour party members, ford drivers, green party MP's, etc, etc).

Mind you look at the Exxon Valdez oil spill, and how I think it was also 2 penguins got rescued and given a second chance only to be eaten by a killer whale not long after being released back into captivity.
