    LED indicator help?

Hey guys after alot of pissing about I finally got my LEDs on my bike and the LED flasher relay in, tested it all and they all lit up, so I removed the Dash light for the indicator and they flashed on the correct sides, I turned the bike on with a little choke so it was at about 3grand and they flashed correctly still, so I wired everything up so it was tidy and good to go, put the tail and shit back on the bike today, fired it up with full choke, flicked the indicators to quadrupole check and they were hypo flashing, turned off the choke and held the throttle at about two, and they flashed fine,
SO.. I am so far over relays and shit, I want to know, what's an easy fix? is this a relay fault causing the problem? if so, because I can not be assed redoing it all, would adding a resistor to each of the rear indicators fix the problem?

I tried looking up the wiring diagram for "a loud one" but had no luck.

so the problem is if the choke is on they flash really fast? VFR400s are carb'd aren't they, so the choke isn't connected to the electricals at all right?

Uh im having a bad day with explaining myself ae haha,

    at idle = 12.6 V
    at 5grand = 14.2 V
    Choke out = 5 grand.

Coolies... what brand/model of LED indicator relay did you fit?

Was it a two or three wire?

sounds like a flasher issue, if it's a proper LED flasher it'll have the timing independent of the load, got a link to the flasher you used? The voltage is right, and within range of any auto 12V gear so it should work properly.

Ebay Junk. haha and its 3pin, I know its the flasher causing the problems, but when I went around dunedin to the Auto electrical stores none of them had 3 pins only 2's and a 2 didnt work at all just lit up all four like a light, So I was hoping if I added a resistor to each of the rear indicators would it do the trick?

You should not need any resistors.

One of the pins is an earth?

Yeah one is Earth/negitive the other positive and the last one is switch, the 2 pin simply didnt work,

    Anyway,

    Update
Removed the relay, put the stock one back on (for normal bulbs) left the LEDs in and gave it a shot, nothing happend, added resistors to all four indicators and I got hyper flash.. SO I need more resistance
    maybe?

Weird. You could add resistors and the mounting/wiring that entails, but could be worth trying another one, like a Tridon LED04.

Yeah I may just do that, just a matter of finding one locally if someone happens to have one floating around or one that they know works thats similar Id be keen to take it off their hands

It's attached to a bike at the moment, but would've figured out a way to get it off (grossly modified bike) if you were local.

Give Appco a ring (if no local branch, then Repco, although they're basically all button pushers now even they can't fuck it up given you have a part number)... I think that's where mine came from. Failing that, BNT. Either of those places should be pretty cheap (~$30).

I have come across eBay units that won't function correctly, but I haven't ever put any time into figuring out why exactly, I just fit the LED04s.
