    Sir Peter

If there was ever a more inspirational Kiwi than Sir Peter Leitch I'd almost defy anyone to be able to name them.

The guy is a fucking legend.

Even after everyone says to slow down, stop and take time for himself, he keeps on giving. He has sacrificed so much for the country. A true man in the meaning of the word.

Yep, he's an inspiration to many that's for sure. He also happens to be one of those people I'd like to have around the table for dinner. Him, Colin Meads, Bob Charles, Buck Shelford & Tawera Nikau.

For an illiterate school kid who made his fortune the hard way,i.e worked his butt off,he deserves the platitudes.

And his love of league is his hobby, good times and losing times, never say he only supports the winning team only,a true ambassador who IS passionate for his sport.

And untill you've been there done that with health issues he has faced, and always sees someone worse off than his illness,is a bloody inspiration to those patients having radiation, and his emotion on the subject is genuine.

Just re-reading this, and not to denigrate Peter Leitch but " was there ever a more inspirational Kiwi"?

    really?

Heres five (edit: OK, seven) off the top of my head:

    Edmund Hillary

    Ernest Rutherford

    Bill Hamilton

    Colin Murdoch

    Archie MacIndoe (sp?)

    Bill Pickering

    Alan McDairmid.

Not everyone thinks blind worship of business men, or sporting "legends" is worthwhile, or even reasonable.

not to get into a pissing contest or anything "My dad can beat up your dad" sort of bullshit.
