It's to stop businesses piggy backing on the RWC when others have shelled out for sponsorship rights - the old "ambush marketing" gig.

It seems that the MED has said that this school will not be caught under the rules after all, which is sensible given all the "Stadium of 4 million" guff that the RFU has used to promote the event overseas...

Have used the school carpark facilities, easy to park and with traffic organisers the flow is ok at end of games, and I don't mind giving donation to the school,a short walk to ground.

    >>given all the "Stadium of 4 million" guff<<

    Ain't that the troof.

They have grossly over-estimated the amount of Australians who are interested in Rugby too.

Yeah most of you Aussies prefer your boys in short shorts and tight tank tops eh or suffer league as a poor second and rugby union hardly counts.

NSW and QLD is mainly rugby league.
VIC, TAS, SA and WA play Aussie Rules.

The apparel is like all sports - changes with fashion. Currently they are pretty similar to those the Rugby players wear. Possibly slightly shorter because when they drop punt the ball their toes end up quite a bit higher than their head on the follow through. Non nut crushers.

The thing that surprised me about this was that there are 40 gubblemunt minions who are all about enforcing the directives of the RWC.

Yet again, the profit is privatised and the cost is socialised.

Fuck the rugby world cup. All the profit (if there is any) will go to a private, for profit corporation, and the taxpayers pick up the tab. Fuck everything about it. Ive hated rugby inc ever since the thing went professional. Before that, I didnt care about it.

Is this fuckwitism on in Orkers on 22 September? There's a rock and roll show on at the Powerstation that day and I'd kind of like to travel for it.
