    Guy Martin TV series

Guy Martin: "Road racer, engine builder, downhill mountain biker, tea junkie, Dambusters expert, and current member of the TAS Relentless Suzuki Team."

"Five Ulster GPs, seven successive Scarborough Gold Cups, and 13 TT podiums."

The above from his web site, http://www.guymartinracing.co.uk

The man also has the reputation of being a funny guy (no pun intended). Shaun would probably have a personal perspective.

Guy now has new skills to boast, his restoration of an old narrow boat was filmed for a TV series.

According to my SKY program "The Boat That Guy Built" starts on the History channel 8.00PM Monday July 11.

OK, it's not racing, but we might learn more about the man by the time the series finishes. Usually we are only able to glean cartoon caricatures of what the riders are really like. This show should provide a more in depth look at the life of one of them.

Guy is a genuinely Funny man- It would be better if he spoke slower though ( Kinda like me) that would make him easier to understand for us foriegn gits. He gets slated so much on UK web sites as he goes on about being a truck mechanic all the time as his job, yet Drives around in a NEW Austen Martin Paid for from his racing, so arm chair heros on the internet stick it to him all the time

He is just an honest Northern man who speaks his mind and is 100% prepared to put his life on the line to chase his Road Racing Goals and bloody good on him I say.

More Guy Martins in the world would make it a better place

He is rebuilding a barge but also going back in time to make the parts traditionally eg

he wants a cup of tea-
builds a forge to cast a pot or billy
makes a cup out of clay
    blends some tea

    Beans on toast-
    makes the can
cooks the beans and seals them in his can.
    bakes a loaf
reheats the beans......spews them up, cause they taste like shyt.
    etc

No bikes though just a few laughs and shyt loads of enthusiasm.
