    Back on the road again.

After issues with tank and fuel pump (was going to post up in original thread but cant find it) ive finally got both sortedThe TLs not new by any standards (actually much of it is)but to have a fucked tank and all the bullshit i went through to get it sorted was bad enough but then i had hassles with Suzukis bullshit fuel pump mounting system,i am pretty good with motorcycles and there workings but the fuel pump set up on this thing had me pulling whats left of my hair out not to mention a few rants out in the shed.Anyways all sorted and looking forward to the coming summer and heading off to a few rallies without the worry of the thing dropping gas everywhere..Put it on the bike gassed up then taken for a ride and removed,no leaksIve noticed a few threads on here talking about Por/Creem and other tank sealing stuff,if theres a rust hole then your wasting your time with it,if theres one theres another not far away, waterblasting the tank will reveal all, then its time for the solder.

There is a fair bit of solder but at least its permanent.
I used an epoxy paste on holes up to 3mm(?) after treating the tank for rust, but I've noticed its not finished with me yet.
I should have done what you have with the solder or maybe brazing, just the idea of a bomb.....

The water thing is hard when the tank works better as a sieve(sp) than container.

I thought argon gas could be the go after a rinse.

    sorry wandering O/T
