Telecom cept charging me for 2 months after the switchover, even thou I rang up and had a go at them after the first bill! Thieving bastards.. I got it all refunded in the end thou.

I'm with a great company here that just bought out Ozemail and is now the third biggest Telco in Oz. Wouldn't touch Telstra with a barge-pole.
They offer ADSL2 now (which I'm on) with download speeds up to 12,000 kbps! Depends on a few things, but I am getting 736 upload and 4224 download. It was faster, but seems to have slowed putting my telephone line in through a surge protector.
Beats the old 56kbps dial up!

Ever notice that anyone slower than you is an idiot, but anyone going faster is a maniac?
I'm with Telstra for phone because Telecom aren't good and print unlisted numbers.
Internet is 56k with Paradise - best dialup ISP I've encountered. Never get disconnected, never have troubles connecting and always a very good connection speed. Would switch to ADSL but prices have to drop to something actually affordable.
Only thing I don't like about Paradise is that ever since they've enabled free spam and virus protection, I'm getting spam and legit emails sometimes get incorrectly caught.
Sadly spam classified email is held only for 7 days, they don't send you a FYI email when they catch any and the spam folder can only be checked via the web page![]()
As a result, a few legit email gets lostbecause after all, who checks their email account via the web when any desktop email client already does that for you!
