    Fighting fund for Dave/Stonechucker

It has been suggested that we start a fighting fund for Dave/Stonechucker. The idea is that we might be able to help a little with the on-going expenses that he will be dealing with. I'd be more than happy for the "Track day" bank account to be used for this. There is NO compultion at all to donate in any way and the donations would be anonymous, as it will be made a group "KB" donation.

The bank account name will be posted here soon, however the number is as follows:
    BNZ Henderson account
    02 0152 0035747 066

This thread is in no way meant as an offensive gesture in any way to SC's parents or fellow KBers reading and posting here.

Some of you may remember Dave did a giveaway comp to the National Park rally....
He is a top bloke, but also Frosty remember ACC are actually pretty good at coughing up the $$ these days. (well they charge us enough on the bloody regos so they should pay up!)
    Has anyone seen my baffles?

Yeah, if there's any way Dave can figure out to get more $ out of the system he should go for it. Milk ACC for all they're worth. It's (hopefully) the only time he'll be able to claim back all that $ that we've all had to throw at them every year.

Of course, it then becomes a viscious cycle of increased ACC expenditure on motorcyclists and therefore increased levies, so hmmmm. (Thinking out loud.)

Hey its an individual decision to help out or not.I'd like to say OHH YEA acc will take care of him. UM personal experience with my left arm that just aint the case. They only seem to pay a percentage of costs and of course you are on reduced income because they only pay a percentage of normal earnings.

Just remember with ACC you only get 80% of what you earn. If you earn Sweet FA, then you get 80% of SFA Hope Dave had a good paying job before his accident. If it happen to me right now, I'd be better off on the dole.

well... or thinking about it from a different angle, if he is ok with on-going expenses... the best think to get him motivated and get back into shape is a brand spanking R1 parked in his room.

so.... with his parents blessing, perhaps we can help with the insurance excess and a bike shop can also help with providing a replacement?
