Microsoft Excel question

Can you help me with this.............

In a spreadsheet I am wanting a cell to change colour if a value is reached or exceeded.

e.g say the limit is 1200, if it is below 1200 then the cell remains in a black font but if the number is 1200 or higher it changes to a red font for example.

Any ideas appreciated.
