RIP to the elderly gentleman who died, and my sincere condolances to his family.

He came from an age when a motorcyclist was defined by being on two motorised wheels.

Now that appears to have changed, as a motorcyclist now is apparently defined by having a two-wheeler approved by twenty-plonk wankers on knee scraping kamasutras...

He certainly counts as a motorcyclist to me, and unlike most of the blowhards on KB he was still motorcycling at 83 years of age.

I hope to be doing the same.

He deserves a guard of honour from bikers, not a "who cares" its only a scooter thread.

    But thats KB.

It was a fucking scooter!!! and obviously the usual sort of retard that rides them... if he can't see a cop car with full flashing lights, he kinda got what he deserved.

    An 83-year-old
I dont want to seem like a cunt to anyone who may be of significant age,
But I know my grandfather who is 72, should be shot for driving his car on the road, hes blind in one eye and all sorts of shit, anyway that aside, Im kind of glad the guy was on a scooter, imagine if he was in a car? may have been a hell of alot worse, the fact he failed to see the plod just amazes me

Sums it up for me too.

I hope the 'he deserved it' types still think like that should a family member (well they wouldn't have friends, will they?) dies as tragically.

umm no not really, a cop car with a disco going isn't exactly hidden, so while I didn't mean he deserved death, hitting it was punishment for stupidity. So don't get me wrong I'm not at anytime saying he deserved death as I suspect some of you think just if you miss a cop car with disco lights going you deserve to hit it.

it should be noted to when I started the thread, he was still alive & it was about the intentionally misleading use of the word "motorcycle" rather than "scooter" as it should have been.
As for the davereid followers I have seen no mention of wether he was a "biker" despite the KB assumptions, for all anyone knows he was an 72yr old car driver on cheaper transport.

Fair enough. I can't stand people who make such assumptions...

When you hit 75 you must renew your license every 2-5 years with medical certificates and/or sit a road safety test if recommended by your doctor.

He was 83 and on a scooter. He probably pays someone to wipe his asshole, he could have paid for someone to drive him too. And I'm sorry but your average scooter rider is NOT a motorcyclist. "I have a scooter - What sort? - A Red One." Stupid old cunt shouldn't have been on the road. Sad that he died and all that but there's some fucking dumb shit out there.
