When reading the news becomes depressing...

I find some days it really does and not necessarily just because Stuff/Fairfax/reporters appear to focus on tragedy and are known to on occasion puff out nothing, make a storm in a teacup, or make general assumptions for stories which then turn out to be wrong.
I am predominantly talking about them opening up articles to comment which pretty much always leads to some of the most misdirected dribble I've ever encountered. Every time they do I surprised by the thoughts (well, called thoughts but there was obviously no thinking involved) of someone who should be at least basically enlightened considering they have the internet and managed to navigate to that particular article. I gather having no login/regular identity means there is minimal ownership of what they say so no need to back it up with anything logical let alone factual or doing any research on what they're talking about.
Reading Stuff comment vs reading Kiwibiker comment - take Kiwibiker any day (Katman and all).

    [/rant]

Please tell me I'm not the only one with this idea.
