    Wanted - bucket motor

Doesn't particularly matter what it is - it's just to get me (hopefully) circulating on a track. It's going in an MC22 CBR frame. I'm in Auckland.

    What have you got?

    Cheers
    Andy

Good luck with the buckets Captain. Are you a recent admission to the bucket ward? I am just working through similar issues myself and will probably end up with 3 bikes. Which is lucky because I have 2 daughters who want to race as well. By the way: any relation to Captain Sensible?

I just dropped a tf125 engine into a mc22 chassis, don't know how its goes yet haven't got it to the track, will let you know at the end of the month!
Fitted different wheels as a 4inch rear is pretty big.

You could buy a brand spanking lonchin for around $495

I'm not going to buy the engine but do you mean a cb125 single or twin?

Yes but Fishie is a freak who would probably go out there and make us all look daft on a stock CB125 single complete with the original tyres and the indicators fitted, you homo.

Yes I've been aching to get in to some form of racing for a looooong time. I don't know anyone or anything particularly about it, except for the bike requirements. So I'm trying to work up a bucket that will get me around the track... even if it's bringing up the rear (no homo)

On the last weekend of the month, come out to Mt Wellington (next to the container terminal). If you've got leathers and a helmet, back protector etc, bring them along. Saturday's a better day for us to let people have a ride, as it's practice day. Sunday's race day, but sometimes have newbies having a go at the end of the day.

If you've only got cordura, they'll generally let you have a go on your own, as it's not the safest for a close contact sport (oopss, racing).

Don't worry about not knowing anyone, not many of us knew each other beforehand either. Just come along, introduce yourself, look around, ask questions.

On the Saturday there's sometimes motards, mini bikes, kids, it's just a cruisey sort of day.

John Connor runs the events, and his contact details can be found on the AMCC website. He has a bike you can ask to book for a day.
Seee you there sometime soon (oh, the dates are also on the AMCC website, it's just this month it'ss the last weekend, it varies)

Oops, forgot to say, you can't bring up the rear, that's my position in the field and I generally win that fight.
