    Thats why we call 111 whereas in UK they call 999. Our 1 (their 9) caused the highest number of rotary dialer switch pulses, for reliability .
    it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

    Correct. Dropping a phone roughly in the cradle could cause a false emergency services call if the number attached was the one with just a single pulse.
