Going to watch a RWC game, might pay to read this

If you rock up wearing your favorite jacket, shirt or hoodie and it has a Logo or a brand on it thats easily visible, like a Adidas or CCC or a Holden or ford jacket chances are high you wont get in to the stadium or will have to remove it or turn it inside out, one of my boys has just done a induction course with armourgard to get a job as security and that is one of the things they have to be checking. If your clothing has a WRC sponsor like Heineken that is ok but Speights isnt.

Pity my wine shop isn't close to a stadium - I'd advertise every brand of beer EXCEPT Heinepiss. Fuck'em.

From the start RWC has said that logos are nogo. This same argument was had way back when they were talking about signage free stadiums. As far as I know, clothing displaying large logos are not permitted but pocket sized ones are ok. Gotta remember that the tournament sponsors are paying a bundle to display their logos. This is common practice overseas. The problem is that NZ has not been in this position before so it's all a learning curve for Joe Public.

Personally I don't believe that they can force someone to take their clothes off, though they may be able to refuse entry to the ground.

And I'll add a welcome to all the rugby haters who'll post in this thread bleating about national sports and funding blah blah blah....

you wont get in, also pitch invaders cant be touched by the armourgard guys they have to shepherd the invader towards a corner and the 200 coppers will batten them into submission, i have visions of some streaker running about with a snake of followers like a benny hill skit
