Suzuki RMX250 - 1991 model
I am currently rebuilding a 1991 RMX250 I got on TM. IT was a real wreck so I stripped it. Powder-coated the frame and so on. Before I stripped it down it was hard to start - are there any issues with this motor? Once warm it would start OK but when cold it took 20 kicks, and the annoying thing is that the kickstarter hits the footpeg - how stupid is that?
Frame is done and am slowly bolting everything back on - will prob strip engine this week. May get new piston and rings + clutch. Bike hasn't been used for ten years and clutch is jabby. Anything to look out for? Any issues with the exhaust valve?
Any advice? Never had one of these before.
