    Joe Rogan is the man.

And I just had the best sleep I've had in a month, thanks to synthetic cannabinoids.

The ALCP will be getting my party vote again this election. Fixing a hundred years of silliness in Western society regarding one of human history's most beneficial herbs is a worthy cause.

If you popped round, got in our Gran Turismo 5 driving seat and set a lap time round the Nurburgring, say, I guarantee your subsequent laps would suffer more after a stubby or two than they would after a toke.

You might even find yourself going faster stoned.

It's not scientific, but it's interesting.

If the task involved getting wet ...Rogan was wet without even being near the water.
I remember him saying to a big buff black contestant ...''Take your shirt off Ty''
Ty went on to speak about what lay ahead and all Rogan could say was ''Take your shirt off Ty''

Heh, a couple of us quit toking for a few months a while back. One of the first things we noticed was that we weren't sleeping well at all... and I mean really really not sleeping well in comparison to before we had stopped. Stresses of our work environment probably didn't help etc... meanwhile back on the sauce, blissful uninterrupted/uninterruptable (even wife coming home at stupid oclock cannae wake me (unless she tries, bitch)) slumber.

+1 on the silliness... makes you wonder why they "banned" it at all?
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

My point is: I can have a stubbie (or even too if I'm daring!) just for the cooling drink with a flavour I like, not to get pissed and certainly not getting any indication ther's alcohol is in my system.
In fact I've chosen low-alcohol beer if I'm going to be driving and you can drink a bit of that before you're pissed.

But the whole point of having a toke IS to get buzzed...

..or to be able to have a genuine sleep without the aid of pharmaceuticals that in my experience have affected me in a negative way.

Personally I don't understand 'stoners'...there is a HUGE gap between someone that utilises weed and someone that simply smokes it to get wasted.
Bit like having a beer etc for its cooling effect and flavour or getting pissed

How can anyone actually like the flavor of beer anyway. Water is a great way of cooling down and re-hydrating
alcohol Is what we run our cars on, if you drink too much you can't walk, speak or think properly. If you drink a little bit more you drop your standards in woman, food and conversation and make bad choices (like getting on a bike). Continue to drink heavily for a long period of time and you start to kill your liver, brain and kidneys.
Then you start to get pissed off at everything, beat your wife, kids or some stranger on the street. And when you wake up in the morning regardless of how much fluid you drunk the night before, you are severely dehydrated. Also alcohol is the cause of death to a large number of people every year

When you smoke weed you cough, get stoned and have a laugh. If you smoke alot more than normal in one night you will be a cabbage on the couch who cant be bothered going out, you'll eat food which is a good thing, you'll go to bed at a reasonable hour then wake up feeling good in the morning. Continued use will see you doing some harm to your lungs (about half what smoking tobacco will do) loose some short term memory (not unlike alcohol) and it may demotivate you slightly (about the same as what stress does). There have been no recorded deaths directly linked to the heavy use of cannabis as far as I'm aware ever.

Then you have Kronic or synthetic drugs. well to start with, so far in its short time in production we have found it gives you bad headaches and some types contain synthetic, addictive prescription drugs. I'm not gonna give it any chances to show me any other unknown side affects.

    OT.

Got learners in '76 on a CB450 Last year of High school. Rode on learners for several years. No demerit points attached to one - they just cancelled your permit. Free to re-apply next day. Glory days.

Sat licence test on a XS1100RH. Instructor just rolled eyes and ticked everything. Glory days.

This was the 115hp unit. The first of two XS's (or many excesses). Smooth Bore Mikunis, Dunstall pipes, ignition system, hi-comp pistons and a cam. Custom paint too. Second year out of high school.

@Ducklover - Wasn't anything wrong with the frame on them - or the oft (unfairly) maligned Kawasaki Frames of the era. It was the crap suspension. I put some S&W's (Ohlins in their day) on both mine and they chucked around great.
