Mackay?

Hi Guys,

Got a potential transfer on the cards at work. Great job by the looks with great prospects but have to shift to Mackay. Now I'm hardly a city boy, grew up on a farm just south of Rotorua, but I'm wondering if this will be Hicksville, AUS?

Anyone spent any decent time there? Got any pro's and con's to help me make up my mind?

Any/All advice much appreciated. Thinking of selling the Firestorm and upgrading once there if I go, but looking at the bike market here and how expensive bikes are there, I might just take her with me. Would be interested in hearing any experiences on this also. Have searched some threads which make it sound like a pain in the arse...

Stayed in Mackay over Christmas while doing a road trip from Port Douglas down to Brisbane. Not a bad place at all, but not exactly close to anything one would call a big town. It is very much an agricultural town from memory (much of coastal Queensland is...) predominantly sugar cane.
