    Incredibly subtle, if at all.
He had a gun, we kiwis don't like guns.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

No. The fact it wasn't an innocent bystander or a child makes it less sad.

Give up the paper Paul, it's not giving you a good picture of the real world. In particular it's not telling you about the reasons to be cheerful. It doesn't sell papers.

Any suicide is tragic as people are left with the everlasting reason why?, any sudden death is tragic again we are left with the question why?, any accidental death the same.

However how sad it may be...this guy had a choice, he was given options, he posed a risk to the people that can help him.
Your picture's in my wallet and I'm sitting on it. And if that isn't love, I don't know what is

He was such a threat, the Special Tactics Group was called in?
Seems theres lots not yet mentioned by the media....but....Glad no one else was killed, and the cops sorted it. Sorry....but point a gun at a cop, or threaten to shoot them, while the AOS or bloody STG is present, and you get shot. Simple.

Beat up a waitress, wave a shotgun at a busy restaurant and police - expect to get shot. Cheaper for the tax payers than jail.

With ya. Asking me to feel sorry for him is like asking me to feel sorry for the clown who blew himself up earlier this year in his P lab. Some people are just better dead than alive.

Sad alright, 3 investigations into the shooting?
Little wonder police don't want to be permanently armed, the poor bastard who pulled the trigger gets to be chewed on by some officious little wankers for 6 months if not years.

and next time if its a family member of yours in trouble and the "police" dont interven and your loved one dies... you may be more polite.

I'm pleased to see the PC shit in this country is relaxing ie: most posters here have no issues with the out come.
