Its sad because its just such a monumental waste of time and potential. Sad because whatever point he was going to make or thing he was going to do was never going to work.... Sad because of the trauma to all those involved and double sad for the people directly involved in his death.

The only potential I see here is for innocent people being caught up in his world.

Ratahi has previously been charged with assaulting a woman using a knife and injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

I'm pleased to see the PC shit in this country is relaxing ie: most posters here have no issues with the out come.

The sad part is the guys family. And for the police that were there. They will now be going through all kinds of hell. How would it feel to take a life? Then be investigated for it for a very long time. Knowing some police that have been there its a life changer.

As far as the guys family, well they never stray far from their own camp, police, well they take the job knowing very well this might happen... SAD would be if another cop was shot dead with a young family waiting at home, end of.

IMHO, this shit aint news worthy, push him aside and let the beter citasins of socity get on with their life now less at risk.

What is sad is that the girl and the other people around the deceased had to put up with his crap behaviour for so long before it was stopped, with probably the only method of intervention that would ensure permanent results.

Maybe if more of these situations ended this way, there would be less of these situations?

Sadly some ding-a-lings WANT it to end this way for themselves - they want to be shot by 'da pig' and go out in a 'blaze of glory' - suicide by cop.

And for them to think being shot dead is going out in a blaze of glory only confirms what a fruit-loop they really are/were.

Their 'glorious death' report will be tomorrows fish'n'chip wrapper and that's it for them.....I suspect some don't realise you're dead for a bloody long time and you don't actually get to hang around hearing your mates say what an awesome finish you had and what a hero you were...

I very much doubt if HIS mates (if he HAD any real mates) ... would actually say that ...

AND ... I doubt if ANY of his mates will take the time off work (if they had a job) ... to go to his funeral ... even if they knew when and where it was being held ...

Sorry no sympathy from me. Someone threatens a lady with a rifle/pistol then me - I am lining up the sights and pulling the trigger as fast as I can.
We all make decisions in life that could get us killed. Would you walk up to Mugabe and piss on his shoes????

The bigger man would have walked away and made a new life for himself. The weaker one gets shot. Tough decision.

Yeah, I'm not advocating suicide by cop. I am advocating serious long term consequences for violent and drug offenders.

Last time he tried this shit he got 6 months inside, this time he got shot. I think the consequences this time were a lot more realistic than last time.
