    You are right...but that's what he's trained to do.
    He could be some traffic cop with a radar gun, instead he chooses to have a semi-auto.

    The STG boys are not your usual run of the mil coppers. They train with 1NZSAS and CTTAG /Commando's and are well aware of what their job could/does entail. I guess no amount of training can prepare you for ending someone elses life, but as you said, it is all part of the job and training.

    Agreed. Have had the privilege of meeting a few and even one of the guys who trains NZSAS in handling combat situations etc and while they are humble, honest, respectable people, I have no doubt at all that when it comes time to do what they are trained to do, there is no hesitation.
