Suggestion from my husband, try Barry Senn from Pukekohe Radiators, 092386383. He has seen him repair some pretty mangled motor cross radiators,or John at Smythe and McCord(was Smythe and Yates) in Cambridge. Good luck

The temperature gauge doesnt even go past 82 degrees either(in normal conditions) so one less row of widgets didnt make a difference.

ps.. i was told by a reputuble bike shop..."she's poked mate... you'll never fix that bastard"... guess who didnt get my $1300... repair was 200 and odd dollars.

Edit: I see your in Wellywood. If it gets no where you could courior it up here and it would still be worth the cost.
Damn I'm going to try and fix it.......................

Call Mt Eden. I heard a word that an 05 was recently written off. Give 'em a buzz and find out the condition of the rad. Not sure if it was damaged or not. The bike was more rear damage from what I've heard. Could be worth a shot 09 303 1960

Is that like RadWeld? Can you get that here? It's great stuff for small holes in radiators - basically its loads of metallic particles in aliquid form mixed with some other fluidtypegunk. It congeals when it comes into contact with air and blocks up holes. So you empty it into your radiator as per the destructions.

I'm not sure how long you should ride around with it in for, as I was led to believe it was only a temporary fix - but I used RadWeld once on an old bike of mine and it was fine for almost a year before I sold the bike.

Nick. Pull the radiator, take it in to Wellington Motorcycles, book it in and ask to have Hayden to fix it. He's done his once and Johanns twice.

Fucken magician when it comes to welding aluminium, you'll have to let them know you realise there's no garauntees to its effectiveness but it's worth a shot.

Then, go to Repco or Super Cheap, get yourself some alluminium mesh and build a fucken gaurd!

This has sufficiently scared me enough to consider going home and making a radiator guard for mine... jeez, $1300!! Cops shouldn't worry about demerit points and bullshit fines, they should just put a stone through the radiator... With my priorities at the moment, that'd get me off the road for a year!!

If the 2004 radiator fits the 2005 636, then look here.

otherwise, keep your eye out on ebay. They'll be bound to have one up soon.

A repair - but not a reputable repair....if it had overheated your engine would you be down there hammering on his door to pay for your engine? With Consumer rights no radiator shop would go near that sort of repair and put their name on the job.Sure, they can be fixed - but you walk away, and stay away.
