At the time, that black'n'gold scheme had a profound effect on me. Still does when I see it on the occasional R1.

one of two CB350's I had back in the late 70's...
I used that bike to travel and work near Tarras - in mid-winter. Had to leave a heater on all night in the garage, otherwise it wouldn't start. Rode it over and back through a snow-covered, iced-over Lindis Pass to get to Sth Canterbury for a party. Happy, happy times...![]()
