    If the cats not running a fever and seems happy enough to rest at home, I would wait a few days. Probably just fall off very soon by the looks, and the cat will pull/mouth at it daily when he cleans

    He might hate ya if you get out the ultra big scissors..... try wearing welding gauntlets and drugging his food

    Edward Scissorhands would be perfect, but I would wait if hes happy and no infection

    Take him to the vet...the tail is a prime place for infection which can easily lead to gangrene. Lost a kitten once from an infection which set in from a burn on the tail.
    A course of antibiotics would be a minimum IMO.

    We had a big ginga who brought home rabbits - left the pluck neatly on the downstairs carpet, the bastard.
