Morini up for auction

Troubled Italian manufacturer Moto Morini is to be put up for auction in April by receiver Piero Aicardi. It is hoped to secure EUR 5.5 million for the rights to the assets, equipment and intellectual property.

All of Morini’s current building, drawings, blueprints and equipment will be on the block. An alternative plan of a sale without assets – estimated at EUR 2.6 million – is an option.

morini has been bought for 1.950.000 euros by the "newco" eagle bike, based in milan.

according to italian major newspapers it's a good news.

unfortunately it is not. Eagle bike is a company leaded by Jannuzzelli and Capotosti two italian "entrepreneurs".
the first is the former ceo of Camuzzi group, an already failed industrial group with activities in nautical business.
the second has been involved in a little bank management, and ended with a conviction to one year of jail for insider trading in 2008 and a fine of 150.000 euros.
