So considering that Hayes plonked his R1 Superbike on the AMA Superbike pole with a 1:24.5-ish, same day, same conditions (different tyres though) what sort of times do we reckon the Claiming Rule bikes will be capable of next year? Are they gonna be anywhere near the 1000cc MotoGP bikes?

Haha, yep! Good for promotion I guess but I can't help thinking they were looking at the past rather than the future when they gave him the ride.

The pass in the corkscrew looked pretty ballsy to me; the one to take the lead was just massive! Gonna enjoy watching the replay of that a few times methinks.

What happened to the 125s?! guessing it was just sky being slack and not giving them air time?
The main race was brilliant tho watching stoner reel em in, beautiful. (even if he is a pussy and won't race in Japan due to 'radiation')
