Pull up outside my wee pink grannies drive way BUT they cower back when they see me.. wonders why?
Then it's Nana Nana, when I pull up in my car... I mean what's the difference eh?
Any other old duckees riding still and get that reaction?

I ride like one.........does that count?
Forgive my slowness..
I have grand daughters that come to greet me when I visit them but then don't recognise me in all my leathers and on a motorbike, so they are hestitant to come and give me a big hug.
But if I arrive in the car, all is recognisable and they will run out to do the big welcome.
Do the bike thing more often and they will get used to it quicker.
Im not a Nana yet, in my house tho it's the cats who freak and hide when Im creaking around in my riding gear.

The end
My grandkids (3 + 1mth old and another one due10th jan) just love the bikes. I took my eldest for a ride when she was 18mths old. Every time I turn up on the bike they are scrambling to get on. Even the three year old loves bikes. We have race quads as well and the kids love those even more.
My eldest (10) is learning to ride the farm trike now. She can also ride a pocketbike and they have a mini dirt bike as well. 3 yr old trys anything. The middle boy is not too fussed on the two wheeled bikes, but thats ok, he loves the quads.
Turn up with a helmet that they can play on pedal bikes with. Thats a good start.
Family appear to have become used to it - but I notice the occassional passer by looks slightly apprehensive when I remove my helmet. Must be just the helmet hair . . .
I ride for the love of it . . . . .
