    Live 8......

Did you guys get to see the concert from London? The Who and Pink Floyd... pure class....

Twenty four years since they last played together..... we had the pub almost to ourselves as there was a firework display on over the bay, and the knobs all went outside to watch it....
    Because I can......................

Never saw any ads so I missed it, luckily they repeated run by Pink Floyd on the radio, almost sounded better than the original !!! Love Pink Floyd, they're my favourite band.

I agree with you in some parts there. I Tell the people that try to sign my up to "sponser a child thing" that they're straving because of their governments, hunger is the weapon. And I hated it how John Cambell made it sound like it's our fault it's happening. stupid leftie knob lol........Layton smith & Danny Watson much cooler

I missed The Who, as I was sealing and gib-stopping the sleepout in preparation for wallpapering, but Gini called me in for the Floyd bit.

Dave Gilmour has always been one of my greatest influences as far as lead guitar goes - it was an absolute joy to hear him and Roger Waters playing together again - something I never imagined I'd see in my lifetime.

A good concert by all accounts - a great cause - pity it won't make a damn bit of difference.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

The irony is all the posers that supported Live 8 will be out protesting global warming or environmental destruction next week, oblivious to the fact that reducing the mortality rate anywhere including Africa will accelerate the latter.
Also Boner,McCartney et al,could bail out Africa out of they own pockets. But do they?

    Shocking.
I can't believe you people saying, "fuck them" to starving people. Just because some of they're respective governments are evil bastards looking out for themselves, you honestly believe they should die, deserve to die a horrible death through starvation or be raped by government troops & brutally murdered? You think these poor buggers voted for this? You think they chose this? You honestly believe that they'd rather suffer the indignity of living what lives they have, suffering, rather than working? You think that we westerners aren't partly to blame by actively blocking the sale of their goods into our market economies.

Aren’t you the lucky ones to have been born to a developed country and not into the misery these people suffer on a daily basis.

Shame on you. I'm sickened by your attitudes.

I don't see how chucking money at the problem will fix it
I hate to see it myself, but I hate it how some media try to make us feel it's our fault.
Something should be done, oh wait that's right, the UN will give them a book to help them
