    There's a handful of days a year where I just cannot make it down from Saddle Hill to the motorway. With the temperature already below freezing and no sign of any grit trucks I am guessing tomorrow could be the first one of the year. There's only one good thing about catching the bus along with all the freaks and poor people and that is that I can have a few drinks after work. Looks pretty dirty down south at the moment so it wouldn't surprise me if the one bus I could catch is canceled. Excellent, I'll be able to watch the GP live.

    I've made it from the bedroom to the office (10 paces) - that's really commitment...

    Dunedin is basically shut down. Was just sent this photo, taken a few minutes ago - locals will know that this is one of Dunedin's busiest intersections this time of the day...
