The stock shock is woefully undersprung for a 100kg plus rider. Anyone who fully understands suspension, motion ratios imparted to suspension, leverage imparted, loading dispositions etc etc will concur. And just because a shock is ''adjustable'' doesnt mean that it can be magically adjusted with those external adjusters that many think have a response range INFINITELY WIDE to suit the bike it wasnt made for in the first place. External adjusters only adjust internal bypass bleed and will not magically ''change'' a shocks charcteristic to suit a different installation that imparts a different motion ratio. Shocks are NOT one size fits all.
Sometimes you get lucky but when you are playing with your safety and that of other road users in your vicinity then I think such a simplistic approach is uncredible.
There will come a time and not before time that suspension has to be certified as suitable for the model its intended for.
