UK: Suzuki issue safety recall on GSX650F

Suzuki UK has issued a recall notice for the GSX650F. The issue is that certain Regulators/Rectifiers have insufficient adhesive applied between the internal circuit board and the external heat sink. This could result in insufficient charge to the battery, causing engine stalling or a failure to start.

In the UK, the part is being replaced free of charge. I don't know if the recall notice is being issued worldwide, but I would recommend contacting your local authorised Suzuki dealership for more information.

They are being recalled here as well. Check your VIN number with your local suzuki dealer.

    Thanks !

Thanks very much for this post ! I purchased 2008 model last week and was surfing here looking for some articles/review on the bike. But happenned to find this 'recall' post. Gave the local dealers a call and sure enough, mine was on the list. They are sorting out the regulator now.
