It was really big of you to donate one of your trophies to Mark for his cause, But these ones look (to me) like they are worth much more than a bit of cash. Money comes and goes, your trophies will never happen again, sell your ass instead, it will heal....

I have to agree witht he others.

Most of us riders dream of, and would give our left testicle to go and ride that course on a weekend, let along the chance to race it. Having trophies from an event as prestigious as IOM are an awesome acheivement, and i think that if you got rid of them, youd regret it later.

There are better ways of getting money, than selling the remnants ofyour life's acheivements

Ive been told to shut up about my DREAMS, I;m listening for once. The achievements these puppies represent cost me to earn, now it is time to get on with the next stage and they WILL MAJOURLY help the process

This is not being done by a rash decision nor lack of thought, I can see the path I need to be on and they will aid me getting there. I have a strong healthy happy feeling about releasing them.

I dont need a night out in a cafe guys, IM NOT Hungry for food

Ohhh mate. I can understand what you are trying to do but what about your kids. These are a part of your life, part of who you are to them.

Whilst I agree with alot that has been said prior....

Do it, if thats what it takes to get the ''next stage'' moving then I believe nothing should stand in the way.....if those items need to go in order for you to better yourself and your life then so be it. Good luck with the sale.

Sorry Dude, I have to agree with what everyone is saying. Don't sell them. I recently lost my Grandfather and the things we found out abut him after he died were staggering. They are worth more as markers of your achievements than any amount of money. If the money is important then try to find a buy back option. My 2c.

They're just trophies guys. Shaun still has the prestige and the memories. Selling these trophies will not lesson his achievements nor cause anybody to forget them. The history books will not be rewritten. The photographs will not disappear. Like most racers, Shaun's family will have had to make sacrifices and I for one think it's bloody admirable that he's willing to take another difficult path to reach his next goal.

If you're hell bent on selling them Shaun then I'd list them on ebay as you'll likely get much more money for em. Hopefully they'll end up in a public display somewhere instead of some toff's private collection.

    listen.
but remember the rule in compromise. Both parties lose something.
If both parties don't lose its called a hostile-take-over.
    I shit you not.
There is a reason why I currently ride the 1987 Budget Express. And it has nothing to do with its fine styling. But the family know when the time comes it will become a new bike.

as for selling family heirlooms......your nuts. these trophy's are a sunk cost, and hold more value to you than a couple of K.
Hell you can't even fly to the Isle for that price.
